Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive

Two different versions of standard Symmetrical AWD, depending on transmission: models with 5- speed manual transmission feature Continuous AWD with a viscous coupling locking center differential that splits power 50:50 front to rear. Models with Lineartronic CVT use Active AWD with an electronically managed continuously variable transfer clutch that actively manages the power split based on acceleration, deceleration and available traction. Both systems power all four wheels and will transfer power to the wheels with the best grip.

BOXER® Engine

Drawn from over 40 years of intelligent performance, the horizontal layout of the SUBARU BOXER® engine combines balance with power and efficiency.

Vehicle Dynamics Control

Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), a stability control system, automatically senses steering and braking inputs to help keep the vehicle on the driver's intended path.

Flexible Storage Space

Fit three in back with both rear seat-backs up. Or fold a seat down for extra cargo space. And with a choice of 4- and 5-door body styles, there's even more flexibility to fit your needs..

Premium Audio System

Impreza's available audio systems include features like HD Radio™, iPod® control, Bluetooth® hands-free phone and audio streaming connectivity, and XM® Satellite Radio capability.

Impressive Fuel Economy

27/36 mpg city/highway fuel economy, a 30- percent increase over the outgoing model, makes the 2012 Impreza the most fuel-efficient gasoline engine all-wheel drive passenger car in America.
