2010 Subaru Legacy Highlights

Reinforced for Safety

Ring-shaped reinforcement body frame design, plus front and rear crumple zones, for collision energy management.

Advanced Airbag System

The Subaru Advanced Frontal Airbag System, front-seat side-impact airbags (SRS), and side-curtain airbags (SRS) to help protect occupants in the event of a collision.

Stopping Power

The secure stopping power of large four-wheel disc
brakes, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) to
balance braking forces, plus Brake Assist for optimal
braking in an emergency. On higher-performance models - Legacy 2.5GT and 3.6R - four-wheel ventilated disc brakes are fi tted for extra fade resistance.

Subaru Boxer Engine

The responsive, low-profi le Subaru Boxer Engine, positioned in a new lower subframe, helps provide a low center of gravity for enhanced handling, active safety and performance.

Automatic or Manual?

Drivetrain choices: The naturally aspirated Boxer 4, which is available as a Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV); the added power of an available turbocharged and intercooled Boxer 4; and the power and refi nement of the available
3.6-liter Boxer 6.

Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive

Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive for high traction,
predictable handling and consistent performance.
Standard Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), integrated
with the All-Wheel-Drive system, combines four-wheel
electronic traction control and electronic stability control.

Responsive Handling

Fully independent suspension works very effectively with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive to help maintain traction and comfort under a wider range of driving conditions. New double-wishbone rear suspension is optimized for both a quiet ride and responsive handling.

More Room for Passengers

Larger, more accommodating passenger compartment with greater interior volume than many competitors. Standard 65/35 split-folding rear seatbacks provide wagon-like utility.

More Comfort and Convenience

Thoughtful standard features on all models include AM/
FM stereo with CD player and auxiliary input jack, steeringwheel- mounted cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering column, power windows with one-touch auto down, power door locks, power mirrors and remote keyless entry. New convenience features for 2010 include Autolights and electronic parking brake with Hill Holder.

Competitive Fuel Economy

Highly competitive EPA fuel economy estimates. Although official estimates are not available at time of printing, internal projections indicate 23 mpg City and 30 mpg Highway for a Legacy 2.5i with Lineartronic CVT.*
